Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which cookies this website uses, and how you can control them. The short answer on the current site: none.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It usually holds a short identifier and a few settings. The site can read it again on a later visit, so it can recognise your browser and remember something about your session.

Cookies are not programs. They cannot run on your device, and they cannot read files stored on it. You can set your browser to block cookies from every site, or to ask before a site stores one. This site will behave the same either way, because it sets none.

Other technologies work in a similar way — for example local storage kept by a browser, or a one-pixel image that reports that a page was opened. This policy covers those too.

Some cookies are needed to deliver a page to you. Others are used to remember your choices, count visits, or build a picture of your interests. Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 applies where a cookie collects personal data about you. [COUNSEL]

2. Our use of cookies: current status

The pages of this website do not set any cookies. They run no analytics, no advertising or tracking scripts, no social media plug-ins, no embedded video or maps, and load no fonts or other files from third-party servers. Browsing the site builds no profile of you. The one automatic record is the routine technical information our hosting infrastructure keeps, which the Privacy Policy describes.

Because we set no cookies, you will not see a cookie consent banner on this site. Consent is only required for cookies that collect personal data. [COUNSEL]

One point we will re-check before the site goes live: the hosting and content delivery layer that serves these pages may itself record or set technical information. If it does, this page will be updated.

3. Categories of cookies

The table below lists the categories of cookie a site of this kind can use, and whether this site uses them today.

CategoryWhat it is used forUsed on this site
Strictly necessaryNeeded for the site to work and to keep it secure — for example delivering the page you asked for and balancing traffic. These cannot be switched off from within the site.No
PreferenceRemember choices you make, such as a language or region you have selected. No
AnalyticsCount visits and see which pages are used, so that the site can be improved. No
Marketing and advertisingFollow your activity across sites to show advertising based on your interests. No

If we introduce cookies later, we will list each one here by name, purpose, duration and provider. Anything that is not strictly necessary will be set only after you consent to it.

4. Third-party cookies

We do not use third-party cookies on this site, because we do not load third-party services on it. There are no analytics providers, advertising networks, embedded media players or social sharing buttons that would set a cookie through our pages.

Links to other sites, including the other Tenuni sites listed in the footer, do not set anything on this site. If you follow one, the site you land on has its own cookie policy, and its own consent rules apply there.

If we add a third-party service in future, we will name the provider here, describe the cookie it sets and link to the provider’s own privacy and cookie information.

One consequence worth noting: if we ever use a provider based outside Singapore, that would raise a question about cross-border transfer of personal data under the PDPA. We would deal with that before the service was switched on. [COUNSEL]

5. How to manage or delete cookies in your browser

Our site gives you nothing to manage. Your browser, however, will hold cookies set by other sites you have visited, and you can clear them at any time. The exact wording of the menus depends on your browser version; in every case, open the browser’s settings or preferences and look for the privacy, cookies or site data section.

BrowserWhere to look
ChromeSettings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies (and “See all site data”)
SafariSettings (or Preferences) → Privacy → Manage Website Data
FirefoxSettings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
EdgeSettings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

Two practical notes. Blocking all cookies can break parts of other sites, such as keeping you signed in. Clearing cookies signs you out of the sites that set them.

6. Changes to this policy

If our use of cookies changes, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date at the top. Where consent is required, we will ask for it before setting any non-essential cookie.
